I just finished watching "House of Gucci" on Amazon Prime. This movie represents why I am doing what I do every day. The complexities of family and money are so fascinating. The movie highlights the ways that greed and lack of planning can throw a family into conflict. One of the defining failures in the Gucci family is knowing the difference between money and love. The tale that has been told over and over with loss of wealth in three generations is so apparent in their story. While there are no Gucci family members left in the business today, I wonder if the founder of Gucci –Guccio Gucci– had established family values around business, would the outcome have been different?
