An estate plan is how your care continues when you can't be in the room.
We help families decide what they want to pass on, and to whom. Then we coordinate every person and document needed to carry it out, from the first conversation to the last beneficiary form.
One family's plan, from first conversation to final signature.
Margaret and Tom built a business, sold it, and now want what they've built to care for three children, four grandchildren, and the causes they've supported for decades. Follow their plan in six chapters.
An illustrative family. Names and details are fictional and do not represent an actual client.
Start with the people
Margaret and Tom didn't open with a balance sheet. They opened with their grandchildren. Our questionnaire gave them a structured way to talk through what they want for each heir, what worries them, and which causes they want to keep supporting long after they're gone.
What we do
Begin with our Generational Wealth Planning Questionnaire to understand your family's priorities, your heirs, and your charitable intentions.
What you leave with
A clear statement of what you want your plan to accomplish, in your own words.
Review what's already in place
Their trust was signed eighteen years ago, in another state, before the business sale and before two grandchildren were born. We read it line by line against everything they told us in chapter one.
What we do
Review your existing wills and trusts, including how they're structured, how well they protect your assets, and whether the state where your trust is based (its situs) still serves your family.
What to bring
Wills, trusts, powers of attorney, healthcare directives, and any foundation or charitable fund documents.
What you leave with
A plain-language summary of what your documents do today, and where they no longer match your wishes.
Prepare the next generation
Claire, Ben, and Nora knew a plan existed. They didn't know what was in it or what would be asked of them. We hosted a family meeting so everyone heard the same thing, at the same time, with room to ask questions.
What we do
Facilitate family meetings that prepare the next generation for what they'll inherit and the responsibility that comes with it.
What you leave with
Heirs who understand the plan and their role in it, long before they need to.
Design the strategy
With their priorities clear, we walked through the options: how a new trust could be structured, what lifetime gifts would mean for their estate taxes, and how a charitable fund could keep their giving going for decades. Every recommendation came with its tradeoffs spelled out.
What we do
Advise on trust design, estate tax reduction, gifting, and charitable strategies, and show you what each choice means for your family.
What you leave with
Decision-ready recommendations you understand well enough to explain to your children.
Coordinate the team
Margaret and Tom had a CPA they'd trusted for twenty years and no estate attorney in their new state. We worked alongside their CPA, introduced them to an attorney from our network, and kept everyone working from the same plan so nothing was lost between offices.
What we do
Coordinate with your estate attorney, CPA, and trustees, or introduce you to trusted professionals in our network.
What you leave with
One team working from one plan, with us keeping it moving.
Finish what signing starts
Signing day felt like the finish line. It wasn't. A trust can only direct the assets it owns, so we retitled their accounts and updated beneficiaries across every investment, insurance policy, and 401(k), then confirmed each change was complete.
What we do
Once documents are signed, retitle accounts and update beneficiaries on your investments, insurance, and 401(k)s.
What you leave with
A plan that works the way it was written.
Chapter 1 of 6
Your attorney drafts the documents. We make sure the plan works.
Most estate plans don't fail in the attorney's office. They stall in the space between professionals: a trust that was never funded, a beneficiary form that was never changed, a tax strategy no one followed up on.
We stay in that space with you. If you already have advisors you trust, we work alongside them. If you need one, we'll introduce you to someone from our network.

Families change, and so do tax laws. Once your plan is in place, we revisit it with you as life moves forward, so it keeps saying what you mean.
